Discard your smartphones, erase Instagram, because no candid of you will ever match anything as majestic and resplendent as this back shot of the Duchess of Cambridge, who – even at four months pregnant – looks thinner than you did after that bout of mono.

Earlier today, Catherine, patron of SportsAid, visited a workshop at the GSK Human Performance Laboratory in West London, England.  Her Royal Highness met with Tokyo 2020 hopefuls, including golfer Emma Allen, who was unable to answer Catherine’s questions because she was a bit preoccupied.

According to the Daily Mail, Catherine didn’t realize that Allen was wearing an oxygen mask, and had a laugh when she realized that Allen couldn’t respond.

Being surrounded by athletes made Catherine a smidge jealous that she hasn’t been able to work on her fitness, what with morning sickness and all.  When shown a machine that tests mental ability, she was pleased as punch to be able to partake in something at last.

“Finally, something I can do while I am pregnant!” she joked.

The mental test, however, is harder than one thinks.  It tests reflexes, which neuroscientist Barry O’Neill explains decrease as we get older.

“She actually did very well for a woman of her age,” O’Neill said after.  “I’m not being rude, I must stress, but your reflexes do decrease every decade you age.”

How dare you.  Do you know who her son is/will become?

“Until now sports science has concentrated on what we call a headless approach,” O’Neill added.  “Concentrate on the body and leave the mind to somewhere else. We are trying to change that here.”

According to What Kate Wore, Catherine wore UK brand Goat’s plum “Vreeland” dress with Stuart Weitzman for Russell & Bromley boots (similar US style here for $635).  We’ve seen her in Goat twice before – at a Child Bereavement UK event in 2013 (paired with a darling Topshop dress) and at an IMPACT school outing this past July.

Tomorrow night, Catherine and Prince William will attend the Royal Variety Performance, a long-standing show attended by royals since King George V.
