Guys and gals, I think the Duchess of Cambridge has gotten used to the attention, because today she let put on an iScout hoodie and let those facial expressions run wild, all in the name of promoting disability awareness to children at the 23rd Poplar Beaver Scout Colony in east London.

The Duchess, who is a volunteer with the Scout Association, supported the #BetterPrepared campaign, aimed at helping communities to deliver Scouting to 200 locations across the UK where Scouting can have the biggest impact.

The Beavers, according to the Daily Express, were working to earn a badge for learning about disabilities.  They didn’t know that the association’s most well-known volunteer would be joining, so their reaction to her arrival was priceless.  “Oh my God, it’s Princess Kate,” one scout shouted.

Catherine took a seat with children and got involved in helping to ice a cake blindfolded, cut up a chocolate bar with boxing gloves and learn the Scout Promise in sign language.  When everyone had to eat the chocolate bar with chopsticks, Catherine joked, “no pressure.”

The children were also tasked with putting a wetsuit on blindfolded, supported by paratriathlete Steve Judge.

The association needs roughly 1,000 adult volunteers to keep the program up, so who better than Catherine to promote a great cause? (No one, is the answer).

The girl has got her footing, I should say.  A job well done, and the association really seemed to appreciate her being there in support of a great cause.

PS, I believe Catherine was wearing her Stuart Weitzman for Russell & Bromley HalfNHalf boots with the same J. Crew black jeans she wore to the Brooklyn Nets game on December 8th.
