Hell’s Bells, it’s another royal occasion.

As promised, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge walked into St. Mary Magdalene Church on the Queen’s Sandringham estate for Princess Charlotte’s christening.  Once again, William and Catherine honored the late Princess of Wales by selecting the same church where she was baptized.

Charlotte wore a hand-made replica of the Honiton lace gown first worn by Queen Victoria’s eldest daughter in 1841.  Several royal children, including William, Prince Harry, Peter Phillips and the Queen had worn the gown since then.

Lady Louise Windsor was the last to wear the original piece, before Her Majesty had it preserved.  She then commissioned  Angela Kelly and Buckingham Palace’s team of dressmakers to make a replica, first worn by Louise’s younger brother, Viscount Severn, and then by Prince George in 2013.

Catherine wore “Empress” earrings and a necklace by London jeweler Mappin & Webb, paired with a hat by Jane Taylor and an Alexander McQueen coat.

Her Royal Highness pushed Charlotte in the Millson Pram, used for Princes Andrew and Edward when they were babies, according to the Mirror.

Charlotte’s godparents are James Meade, Thomas van Straubenzee, Sophie Carter, William’s cousin, Laura Fellowes, and Catherine’s cousin, Adam Middleton.

The Middletons (Pippa’s Emilia Wickstead dress was magnificent), the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, and the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh were all in attendance.

George wore the a similiar outfit to the one his father wore to visit Prince Harry at the Lindo Wing in 1984, the second time this year that’s he’s been dressed in vintage Wills.

How about Nanny Maria Borrallo’s uniform and white gloves? I was not expecting that.
