GQ has placed Prince Philip, the man who dutifully walks two paces behind his wife and long ago pledged to be her “liege man of life and limb,” at #12 on their best-dressed list, making him the sharpest royal in the entire family.

The Mountbatten-Windsor patriarch beat out his grandson, Prince Harry, who landed the 38th spot, according to the Telegraph.

Prince Philip, who will turn 95 this June, has not let time slow him down.  In fact, the Duke carried out 217 engagements in the UK, and 33 abroad in 2015.

The magazine praised Philip’s “time-honoured style,” as well as “services to classic British tailoring.”

Philip “always favoured a simple suit made from heavyweight British cloths: tough twills and twist worsted – never excessively fitted, and always well balanced,” Savile Row tailor Patrick Grant told GQ.

Odds are that Philip doesn’t care one way or the other that he made a list.

This was a guy that was shipped around Europe after his family was exiled from Greece, attended the no-frills boarding school, Gordonstoun and rose through the ranks of the Royal Navy before becoming the Queen’s prince consort.

Being praised for the way his slacks crease is at the bottom of Philip’s list of “things one enjoys” along with having a beer with Fergie.

Still, it’s always nice to be noticed.
