Last night, the highly-anticipated ITV documentary on Her Majesty aired in the UK, and now international audiences are able to watch it in full.

Members of the royal family spoke affectionately about the Queen, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Prince of Wales, Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie and her oldest grandchild, Peter Phillips.

Ashley Gething, the documentary’s director and producer, reflected on her latest project for the Telegraph

“What impressed me most, though, was the Queen’s work ethic,” Gething wrote.

“We filmed her at nine in the morning, and at 11 at night. It’s mind-boggling that, at almost 90 years of age, she still works five days a week, week in week out, and has done for the last 63 years.”

Enjoyed the documentary immensely! I have always been a fan of the Queen (is “fan” a proper word to use when talking about the Queen?). Perhaps I feel a spiritual kinship with the Queen because of her love of horses which I share being a horsewoman myself. She has dedicated her life to her country, and I think it is truly amazing the stamina she has at the age of 90 to continue doing her duties daily with such vigor. I think she proves that if a person keeps active they will never truly get old! I do believe she can out work all her children and grandchildren (except perhaps for Princess Anne, her daughter). So this American says with heartfelt sincerity, “Long Live the Queen”.
