Oh my sparkles, am I delighted that Her Royal Highness chose to re-wear that gorgeous, show-stopping Jenny Packham gown we first saw five years ago at the ARK gala.

The setting sun in King’s Lynn, England provided perfect lighting for Catherine’s entire look, which consisted of a chic AF up do, the Queen’s chandelier earrings and those darling L.K. Bennett bow heels.

Prince William Makes History, Covers LGBTQ Magazine Attitude

Attitude Magazine

Quite frankly, this could not have come at a better time.

Just a few days after the horrible mass shooting that took 49 innocent lives in Orlando, Florida, the Duke of Cambridge has made history by covering the July issue of Attitude, the first royal to ever cover a LBGTQ magazine.

Those involved hinted yesterday at something after William and the Duchess of Cambridge signed the book of condolence for Orlando victims at the U.S. Embassy in London.

Representatives of LGBTQ association gliffa were there to greet the Cambridges, and William let it slip that he was involved with an upcoming Attitude project.

According to ITV News, Kensington Palace would not elaborate on the Duke’s comments.

“We look forward to speaking about this soon,” the palace stated yesterday.

No one had to wait long, because the palace tweeted the news this morning.  Continue reading

Since she and Prince William traveled to Northern Ireland today, the couple were known as the Baron and Barroness of Carrickfergus (just like that lovely blond in The Sound of Music).

The trip took them to a garden party at Hillsborough Castle in Belfast, Northern Ireland, which  – according to the Daily Mail – is always attended by a senior royal.

All The Terribly British Things That Happened Today at Royal Ascot

Chris Jackson/Getty Images

It’s one of the most famous races in the world, and nothing was going to keep patrons from attending what is arguably the most British activity ever – Royal Ascot.

Also known as watching horses race while drinking champagne and wearing fancy hats.

Day one saw a downpour of UK proportions come down upon racegoers, who were decked out in their Ascot finest.

Things vastly improved and the sky somewhat cleared up once the royal family arrived in their horse-drawn carriages (as you do).

The whole day was very British, from the rain to the reactions.

  1. “F***ing British weather.”

2.  “Feeling quite patriotic, actually.”

The June 12th shooting of 49 people inside Orlando, Florida’s Pulse night club is the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.

As families and friends of the victims, LGBTQ supporters and strangers alike mourn the tragedy, royal families across Europe have publicly sent their condolences to the country.

Prior to attending a garden party in Northern Ireland today, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the US Embassy in London to sign the book of condolence.

Prince Harry: When Will He Be Appointed To The Order of the Garter?

In 2008, Prince Harry and Kate Middleton giggled as Prince William joined the procession of the Most Noble Order of the Garter at Windsor Castle.

What Harry and Catherine found so funny on that day in June was William’s uniform – a velvet robe and plumed hat that made him look a bit like a Shakespeare character.

Those two dopes (I use that term endearingly) failed to recognize that the Most Noble Order of the Garter is Britain’s oldest Order of Chivalry, and it only includes 24 members, plus the Sovereign.

Today, I wondered when (or perhaps even if) Harry would be invited into the order, which was started in 1348 by King Edward III.  Continue reading

The Duchess of Cambridge’s Red Outfits: Which One Is Your Favorite?

One of my nearest and dearest texted me today after seeing the Duchess of Cambridge in a red coat dress by Catherine Walker at the 2016 Order of the Garter ceremony.

“Catherine’s outfit today is one of the best yet. Maybe the best,” she wrote, describing the coat as “magical” and the overall look as “conservative, but sexy” (though, she pointed out, it could fit a little more snug on the shoulders).

She especially loved how the Gianvito Rossi pumps were a slightly different shade of red.

I found this interesting, because royal fans were divided on today’s look, which also featured a Lock & Co. fascinator first seen at the 2012 Diamond Jubilee Thames River pageant, as well as Robinson Pelham acorn earrings (a wedding present from her parents).  Continue reading

You Can’t Take Prince Harry Anywhere (JK You Totally Can. And Should.)

As the rest of the audience sat quietly (I think) in the rows of St. Paul’s Cathedral, Prince Harry made the Duchess of Cambridge giggle.

And it was great.

One thing to know about the royal family is that they love when things go wrong at formal events.

Yes, they respect and acknowledge the hard work that has gone into said event, but when there’s a blip, there’s a giggle.

On June 10th, Members of the royal family (53, to be exact) attended a national service of Thanksgiving in honor of the Queen’s 90th birthday.

The Very Reverend David Ison commenced the service by praising Her Majesty for “faithful devotion, dutiful commitment, loving leadership, gentle constancy, royal dignity and kindly humanity.  Continue reading

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge To Make Their Debut At Royal Ascot

Well, this is an interesting development.

Though her mother went in 2011 as a guest of the Queen, the Duchess of Cambridge has never attended Royal Ascot, though to be one of the most significant days in the British calendar.

According to royal reporter Katie Nicholl, William and Catherine will attend this year’s race as a sort of birthday favor to Her Majesty.

“They know how much Ascot means to the Queen and they will be there for one day this week,” a source told Nicholl.

“They will enjoy an afternoon in the royal box with Her Majesty.”  Continue reading

Hurrah!  We haven’t seen these Robinson Pelham acorn earrings since 2011’s royal wedding!

On this rainy Monday, the Great and the Good gathered at Windsor Castle for the Order of the Garter service, the oldest and most senior Order of Chivalry in Britain, according to the monarchy’s website.
