Will, Kate and More Royals Send Condolences To Orlando Shooting Victims

The June 12th shooting of 49 people inside Orlando, Florida’s Pulse night club is the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.

As families and friends of the victims, LGBTQ supporters and strangers alike mourn the tragedy, royal families across Europe have publicly sent their condolences to the country.

Prior to attending a garden party in Northern Ireland today, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the US Embassy in London to sign the book of condolence.

The flag behind William and Catherine, according to Kensington Palace, was presented to Hillary Clinton when she served as Secretary of State. 

In Madrid, King Felipe and Queen Letizia did the same.

Queen Margrethe of Denmark sent a letter to President Obama, as did King Carl Gustaf of Sweden, the Queen and Prince Philip, and the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.

Monaco’s Prince Albert showed his support for Lady Gaga’s powerful speech from Los Angeles.

Across the world, landmarks were bathed in rainbow, as people draped themselves in colorful flags and held up signs proclaiming that love is love.

Jimmy Fallon said it best last night during his Tonight Show monologue:

“This was just one bad guy here. 49 good people and one bad guy, and there will always be more good than evil.”
