Hello, and welcome to the fourth anniversary of the greatest day of my life.
Today, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrate four years of matrimony, having said “I Do” in front of an entire congregation, plus a few billion eyeballs around the world.

On the morning of Friday, April 29th, 2011, the Queen gifted the couple with their title . A statement from the palace read:
“The Queen has today been pleased to confer a Dukedom on Prince William of Wales. His titles will be Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus. Prince William thus becomes His Royal Highness the Duke of Cambridge and Miss Catherine Middleton on marriage will become Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge.”
It’s worth pointing out that it’s incorrect to refer to the former Kate Middleton as “Princess Catherine” and/or “Duchess Catherine/Kate,” since she is not a blood royal. When William is invested as Prince of Wales, Catherine will become Catherine, Princess of Wales.
All titles are a gift that can only be bestowed by the Sovereign.
A week before the wedding, the Queen gave her formal consent to the wedding of her grandson and heir to Middleton under the Great Seal of the Realm, a fancy thumbs-up to the union of “Our Most Dearly Beloved Grandson Prince William Arthur Philip Louis of Wales, K.G. and Our Trusty and Well-beloved Catherine Elizabeth Middleton.”
Please enjoy my favorite moment from the royal wedding, when Kate saw the size of the crowds outside Buckingham Palace.
LET’S HAVE MORE BABIES, YOU GUYS!
